ROTEX heat pump portfolio offers expanded functions
New device for control via app
- Control via smartphone
- Photovoltaic connection
With its new LAN adapter, ROTEX is now launching a further device for monitoring and controlling heat pumps via smartphone. Based on the RoCon control concept and the ROTEX Control app, online control of the ROTEX HPSU compact air-to-water heat pump has been available since 2013. The new LAN adapter, which will be unveiled in the summer of 2017, is compatible with the company’s HPSU monobloc, HPU hybrid, HPSU Bi-Bloc and HPU ground heat pumps.
An intuitive app enables the heating system to be controlled via smartphone. In addition to providing control functions, the app also monitors the system, for instance, by means of an energy meter. Heating can thus be optimally regulated and adjusted to ensure maximum comfort. Thanks to the extended functions of the new LAN adapter, the heat pumps from the ROTEX portfolio are smart-grid-ready. For example, energy costs can be cut by using off-peak energy. Since the LAN adapter meets the guidelines for smart-grid readiness, users can qualify for a subsidy of €500 (load management bonus) from the German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control.
In addition to allowing heating systems to be controlled via app, the LAN adapter, which can be retrofitted at any time, also enables connection to a photovoltaic installation.
