Individual temperature design - What does this mean?
In underfloor heating, the floor becomes the heating surface. Since the floor temperature is slightly higher than the room temperature, the heat from the floor is transferred to the room. In short, the room is heated via the floor. The distribution of the floor surface temperature is very important in this situation. An optimum room atmosphere is achieved by a lower temperature in the area you generally tend to occupy and slightly higher temperatures in the peripheral areas and near the outside walls. This deliberate temperature distribution can only be applied to conventional underfloor heating under certain conditions.
ROTEX System 70 offers an important feature in this regard:
The surface temperature of the floor can be increased by laying the heating pipes in a narrower layout. Through the higher feed temperature in the ROTEX System 70, this effect is considerably more noticeable than in a conventional underfloor heating system which would normally be operated at 35 to 38 °C. This means that the distribution of the surface temperature can be individually configured. We refer to this as: "Individual Temperature Design" (ITD). By means of Individual Temperature Design using System 70, a room with a required heat of e.g. 65 W/m2 can be heated at 24 °C in the living area and 29 °C in the area of the outside walls instead of with a uniform floor temperature of 25.6 °C. The resulting room atmosphere is particularly pleasant, above all because the radiation against colder outside surfaces is compensated for by slightly higher floor temperatures.
Individual Temperature Design provides you with a comfort which you won't want to live without. The same criteria have to be met as for an unheated floor: it must bear loads and give each room its own personality. The selected flooring influences the heat dissipation of the floor.
If the flooring is changed after a few years or if, for example, a carpet is laid in conventional systems, this has an effect on the room temperature. Thanks to the special function of the ROTEX DUO Pipe, the effect of the individual measures is considerably less than in conventional underfloor heating systems. This means that if you change the flooring or lay a carpet in future, the effect of System 70 on heat dissipation is usually so insignificant that it does not even have to be taken into account. The room temperature control automatically ensures the small modification required for adjustment of the temperature of the underfloor heating.
