ROTEX System 70 - Surface cooling

The ROTEX System 70 underfloor heating is optimally suited to use as surface cooling in the summer. When using it as such, ROTEX System 70 offers the same advantages as in the heating mode. By using the ROTEX DUO Pipe, the surface cooling can be operated at a lower water temperature than when using a conventional single-skinned underfloor heating pipe.

The fan type air cooler for the dehumidification of the ambient air can be operated at a water temperature which is 6 to 8 K lower. This means that the required air cooler can be connected directly to the same heating circuit distributor as the underfloor heating or cooling system. As a result, the second water circuit, the second circulation pump and the second water temperature control which are otherwise necessary are not required.

Gentle cooling

As a result of the somewhat lower water infeed temperature with System 70, a higher spread can also be selected between feed and return flow. This reduces the water flow and therefore the required pump output. The water contact resistance in the DUO Pipe clearly reduces the influence of different floor linings on the surface temperature and therefore the cooling output. This means that the danger of a partial temperature below dew point is extremely small. This system-controlled speciality causes ROTEX System 70 to react relatively insensitively to temperature fluctuations in the cold water temperature.
