Air-to-water heat pump
ROTEX HPSU monobloc

The compact all-in-one outdoor unit for flexible application

With the ROTEX HPSU monobloc, all hydraulic components are integrated into the outdoor unit. The compact unit is also supplied with a fully sealed unvented cooling circuit, so that the heating pipes run directly from the heat pump into the building. Because connections are only necessary on the water side, installation of the heat pump is exceptionally straightforward and rapid. Only the thermal store and the spare immersion heater (if applicable) need to be integrated into the building.

System advantages

Space-saving installation

The HPSU monobloc heat pump can be placed unobtrusively outside the building.

Simple and cost-effective installation

All hydraulic components of the heat pump are combined in the compact outdoor unit.

For the health of your family

Water heating with hygienic freshwater technology in combination with a ROTEX thermal store.

Future-proof and flexible

Direct combination with a solar system is possible and can be added anytime (in combination with HybridCube thermal store).

Product description

HPSU monobloc heat pump for outdoor installation

The ROTEX HPSU monobloc air-to-water heat pump for outdoor installation combines all components in a single compact unit. This unobtrusive appliance can be sited outside the building. When combined with a hygienic ROTEX thermal store, it ensures optimum heating and hot water convenience. The HPSU monobloc is available in two versions (5 kW and 7 kW) and offers flow temperatures up to +55 °C. The heat pump is one of the most efficient and most compact systems of its kind on the market.

Application

The perfect choice for new build

The amount of heating energy required by modern buildings is decreasing, and the required flow temperatures are lower, too. This is where the low temperature ROTEX HPSU monobloc heat pump comes into its own, be it in conjunction with low temperature radiators or an underfloor heating system. The advantage of underfloor heating is that, due to the extremely large heating surface, it can make do with a low surface temperature. Plus, it can even cool the rooms during summer.

Structure and funktion

Economical and quiet thanks to output modulating operation

Inverter LogoThe heat demand of a building varies very widely depending on weather conditions and utilisation patterns. The ROTEX HPSU monobloc heat pump employs inverter technology, which operates the compressor variably. In other words, the output of the heat pump is continuously adjusted to meet the demand.

Optimum water hygiene – maximum convenience

The water is heated in combination with a hygienic ROTEX thermal store. Thus, you get maximum comfort for heating and hot water. The ROTEX thermal store is a combination of domestic hot water tank and instantaneous water heater. The heat is not stored in the domestic hot water itself, but in the clearly separated tank water. In combination with the hygienic thermal store, the integration of solar systems for heating support and domestic water heating is also possible. Optimum tank stratification ensures that the provision of hot water is always guaranteed.

Innovative heat storage concept - Hygienic, flexible and future-oriented

All ROTEX products with the ECH2O label are characterized by a unique heat storage principle. Particularly space-saving, with the highest warm water comfort and open for additional heat sources. The innovative heat storage concept is applied to the HPSU monobloc when you combine the heat pump with a HybridCube thermal store.

From autumn 2017: control your regulation via smartphone

In addition to the control functions of your device, the control system also monitors your system. This comprehensive system management system allows you to optimally adapt your system to your personal comfort. Through the further function of the new LAN adapter, the device is Smart Grid Ready and allows you to optimize your energy consumption by cost-effective energy from your energie provider.

Energy efficiency class

September 2015: Energy efficiency label now also for heating

Haus Wärmepumpe mit SolarkollektorenIndividual heat generators will each bear a product label. The efficiency of a heating system depends not only on the heat generator, but on several components. That is why the combination or package label was introduced. This covers the heat generator plus other components such as the control, cylinders, solar thermal systems and/or an additional heat generator. The combination label is calculated from the efficiency values of the individual appliances and devices. Hooking up a solar thermal system is the most effective way to reach a higher overall system efficiency class
