HPSU Bi-Bloc uses the environmental heat with maximum efficiency. It consists of outdoor unit, indoor unit and heat storage unit. You do not need a separate technical room.

The Bi-Bloc Ultra 4-8 kW works with the sustainable refrigerant R-32. In conjunction with the new high-efficiency compressor, the best efficiency values are achieved. The new Bluevolution technology enables up to 40% higher DHW output.

With a flow temperature of up to 65 °C without the use of an immersion heater, it is possible to use it flexibly in new buildings and even in modernisation.

For instance, the compact indoor units can be easily combined to form cascades for apartment buildings.

Control via smartphone

You can conveniently control your heating system from your smartphone using the Control app and LAN adaptor. The control unit is able to control the heat pump functions as well as monitor your system. This comprehensive system management option allows you to synchronise everything perfectly to your needs.

Everyone is a winner when environmentally friendly R-32 refrigerant is used. With its low GWP of 675, it is already playing an important part in reducing CO2 emissions, thereby keeping its environmental impact to a minimum. Due to this low GWP, all Bluevolution products already fulfil the requirements of new EU Regulation 517/2014, which stipulates that fluorinated greenhouse gases (also known as F-gases) be gradually replaced by 2030.

What GWP means

GWP (global warming potential) is a value indicating the global warming impact of a greenhouse gas. The lower the value, the lower the potential contribution to global warming.

 

Logo Inverter All ROTEX heat pumps employ inverter technology, which operates the compressor variably. This results in lower operating costs with increased system efficiency. An electronic control system ensures whisper-quiet operation of the outdoor units in night mode with only 35 dB(A) at a distance of 3 m.

Smart Grid Ready

The „Smart Grid Ready“ label certifies suitability for „power bias operation“. In order not to overload power grids, wind turbines are frequently shut down when more electricity is being generated than required. Storage is necessary to absorb these peaks in production. Heating systems with heat pumps can provide such storage. As and when required, they can convert excess electricity into thermal energy, which is then „stored“ in a buffer or domestic hot water tank. Grid operators can already shut down heat pump systems temporarily in the event of power shortages. So as to utilise their storage potential to the full, heat pumps require correspondingly smart control technology. Consumers can tell that a heat pump is suitably equipped by the „Smart Grid Ready“ label. In conjunction with the LAN adapter, the heat pump is SG Ready.


Application

HPSU Bi-Bloc Ultra - the heat pump for new construction and modernization

Air-to-water heat pumps utilise the ambient air as their heat source. They can therefore be installed quickly and inexpensively. The amount of heating energy required by modern buildings is continually going down, resulting in lower flow temperatures. The low temperature heat pumps from ROTEX are designed specifically to meet such requirements. An underfloor heating system is essential for exploiting the full potential of this energy efficient heat generator. As underfloor heating systems have such a large surface area, they can make do with low surface temperatures. Many ROTEX heat pump systems can also apply the principle in reverse. Consequently, it is possible to use heat pumps in summer for cooling your building gently and economically.

When modernizing existing buildings, the same applies as with new buildings: with a ROTEX HPSU Bi-Bloc Ultra heat pump you can heat in winter with flow temperatures up to 65 °C without an immersion heater, which also allows the use in older buildings. To use the full energy saving potential, the combination with underfloor heating is ideal. With the system ROTEX cut we offer a simple and fast way to retrofit a floor heating in old buildings.


Structure and funktion

The heat pump split system from ROTEX

The outdoor unit extracts the heat of the ambient air, which is absorbed by the heat transfer medium (refrigerant) and transferred to the indoor unit. The compact outdoor unit can be placed unobtrusively outside new buildings or existing residential buildings. 

The ROTEX HybridCube thermal store is a combination of hot water storage tank and continuous water heater. The domestic water to be heated is conveyed and heated through a separate high-performance heat exchanger made of stainless steel. Water that is charged first is also the first to be removed (first-in first-out principle).

Innovative heat storage concept - Hygienic, flexible and future-oriented

All ROTEX products with the  ECH2O label are characterized by a unique heat storage principle. Particularly space-saving, with the highest warm water comfort and open for additional heat sources. The innovative heat storage concept is applied to the HPSU Bi-Bloc when you combine the heat pump with a HybridCube thermal store.
