As much sun as possible - As little energy as necessary

The ROTEX GasSolarUnit (GSU 520 S-e/GSU 530 S-e) uses the free power of the sun not only for heating domestic water but also to effectively support the heating system.

If you do not want to decide on a solar system at the moment, the solar support of the ROTEX GasSolarUnit can be easily retrofitted.

The power of the sun without any detours

For solar energy use, the ROTEX Solaris solar panels are used. In addition to these, a regulation and pump unit and a connection set are required. The storage water from the ROTEX GasSolarUnit is taken from the deepest and coldest point of the storage tank and directly transferred, i.e. without heat exchanger, to the solar panels. There the water is heated and then stratified in the GasSolarUnit again. This ensures that the efficiency of the solar panels and the overall use of the system is again considerably increased . The entire Solaris system operates unpressurised during this process.

If there is insufficient sunlight or if the GasSolarUnit does not require any further heat, the supply pump switches off and the whole solar system empties into the storage tank. The addition of antifreeze agents is not required, since the panel surface is not filled with water when the system is not operating. This is a further plus point from the environmental perspective.

ROTEX GasSolarUnit: Solar energy for hot water and heating!

The diagram shows the monthly energy consumption of an average single-family home.
It compares two system types:

  • The grey bar represents the energy consumption with an old boiler.
  • The front bar shows a system with the ROTEX GasSolarUnit with 4 solar panels
